Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how you can see it or have it deleted. It applies to coconnect.tech (and to coconet.io, which now sends you here). We are based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and we handle personal information in accordance with British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
This site has three forms — an operator application, a landlord assessment request and a member waitlist. Between them they ask for your name, your contact details, and information about the facility, property or work you are describing. What a form asks for is all we collect from it.
If you type a valid email address into one of these forms, we save what you have entered at that point — even if you never press the button. We do this so we can tell how many people start an application and where they stop, and so that an application interrupted halfway is not lost. A record saved this way is marked as incomplete and is not emailed to anyone; if you go on to submit, it becomes your application rather than a second copy.
If you would rather we did not keep it, email sarb@communityconnect.tech and say so — see section 8 for how to have information deleted.
Information collected automatically
When you browse the site we receive your device’s internet protocol (IP) address, which tells us your approximate location, along with your browser and operating system, the pages you view and how you move through them.
Advertising information
If another website or an advertisement sent you here, we store where you came from and the campaign identifiers on the link, in your browser, so we can tell which advertising reaches people. If you go on to send us a form, they are stored alongside it.
If you send us a form, the pages you opened on this site during that visit are stored with it, so we can see the route that led to an enquiry.
2. How we use it
- To read and reply to what you sent us.
- To answer questions you send us by email or phone.
- To operate, secure and improve this website.
- To measure which advertising and which pages bring people to us.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Consent
How do we get your consent? When you provide personal information through one of the forms above, or to ask us a question, we take it that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason.
If we want to use your information for a secondary reason, such as marketing, we will either ask you for your express consent or give you a clear opportunity to say no.
How do you withdraw your consent? If you change your mind, you can withdraw your consent to our contacting you, or to our continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time. Email sarb@communityconnect.tech.
4. Session recording and analytics
We use an analytics tool that records how visitors use the site, including a playback of your visit — the pages you saw, where you scrolled, and where you tapped or clicked. Text you type into form fields is masked and is not captured in those recordings. The masking applies to the recording only — see section 1 for what the form itself saves as you fill it in.
We use these recordings and aggregate statistics to find the places where the site is confusing or broken. We do not use them to build a profile of you for advertising, and we do not attach your name or email address to them.
There is one link between the two, and it runs one way. When you send us a form, we store the anonymous identifier this analytics tool gave your browser alongside your enquiry, so we can look back at the visit that produced it. That means we can go from your enquiry to the recording of that visit. It does not put your name or email address into the analytics tool, and it is not used for advertising.
5. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the service providers we need to run this website, and only to the extent they need it:
- Supabase — database hosting.
- Resend — email delivery. When you submit a form, a copy is emailed to us so a person can read and answer it.
- Vercel — website hosting.
- PostHog — the product analytics and session recording described in section 4.
- Google Analytics — measurement of site traffic: which pages people visit and how they arrived.
- Google Ads — when you submit a form or tap the phone number, we tell Google Ads that it happened, so we can tell which advertising is worth paying for.
We may also disclose personal information if we are required by law to do so.
Some of these providers are located in, or store data in, the United States. Where that is the case, your information may be subject to the laws of that country, including lawful requests by its authorities.
6. Cookies and browser storage
This site stores the following in your own browser:
- Where you came from and the campaign identifiers described in section 1.
- The pages you have opened during this visit, and a reference for a form you have started so that finishing it updates what you entered rather than creating a second copy.
- Storage set by PostHog for the measurement purposes described in section 4.
- Cookies set by Google Analytics for the measurement described above.
- Cookies set by Google Ads for the conversion measurement described above.
- Google’s own advertising cookies, read alongside the Analytics cookies above for the advertising features described in section 7.
You can clear or block these through your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you using the site.
7. Google Analytics advertising features
We use Google Analytics advertising features, including Google signals, remarketing, and demographics and interests reporting. With these turned on, Google Analytics may associate your visit with the information Google holds for your Google account, if you are signed in to Google and have allowed that association in your own Google settings.
To do this, Google Analytics’ own first-party cookies and Google’s third-party advertising cookies are read together.
You can opt out at any time. Google Ads Settings controls ads personalisation on your Google account, and the Google Analytics opt-out add-on stops Analytics collecting anything from your browser. Neither will stop you using this site.
8. Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email sarb@communityconnect.tech and we will respond within the time British Columbia law allows. We keep what you send us for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, and we delete it on request unless we are required to keep it.
9. Security
We take reasonable precautions and follow accepted practices to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. What you send through a form is held in a database that is not publicly readable and is reachable only by our own systems. No method of transmission or storage on the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Contact us
Questions about this policy, or about how we handle your information, can go to sarb@communityconnect.tech or by phone to 778 558 7272.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we do, we will change the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Where a change materially affects how we use information we have already collected, we will take reasonable steps to tell you.
